DIY Galaxy Converse

Okay then, yuk mari kita bikin Galaxy Shoes...
Start off with your pair of converse (or any other kind of cloth shoe) They can be dirty and you just refurbish them with this! Mine look so new because i barely wear these ones out due to their plain-ness and because I have other pairs that are awesome.

And these are things you NEED :
 Newspaper or a cut up garbage bag to protect your table/surface!!! A couple paper plates Either some masking or painters tape (scotch/sellotape won't work very well) Your shoes (of course) Some sponges ( I started off with those cheap painting sponges, but switched to makeup sponges which worked MUCH better) Regular Acrylic Paint of course! (I used Navy, Black, A rosy sort of pink, plum, royal purple, "cerulean blue" and white) A toothbrush Clear spray stuff to seal it in (sold with the spray paints, but you need to make sure it's okay for use on fabrics, and you can pick between Matte and Glossy, i used matte)

So.. Let's get Started!
 1. Take your tape and tape up any of the rubber soles so the paint doesn't ruin them
 2. I covered the tongue too, because i have a double tongued pair of converse and wanted to keep it the way it was, most people paint the tongue too, and just put a rectangle of tape over the converse logo.
 3. Put your paints a bit away from each other on a paper plate, you should be able to have some room to dab your sponge and mix colors if you need
 4. here, i'm using a lot of sponges to dab everything.
 5. Dab a bit of the sponge on the side of the plate before you put it directly on your shoe so it's not as much paint, and then you can dab it around in layers so the edges fan out and fade, have your darker colors around the edges, and the lighter ones in the middle, and you can put the designs anywhere you want and think would look good!
(ADDED NOTE* IF YOUR CONVERSE ARE A BIT OLDER, AND/OR NOT TOTALLY BLACK.. YOU'LL HAVE TO PAINT THE WHOLE THING BLACK BEFORE YOU START!!!)
 6. dip the head of the toothbrush into the white paint, and run your thumb across the top to splatter it onto your shoe (i would do this outside... i had to scrub the floor to get paint off) and oh yeah! You can blend your own colors!
 7. Let the acrylic paint dry (it shouldn't take very long) Then take your spray sealer stuff OUTSIDE before you spray it!!!! If you die due to stupidity, i am not going to be held liable

8. Once you've sprayed a couple coats of that stuff so the paint won't wear off quickly, and that's dry, you can start to take off the blue tape! See how much paint got on the tape? it's REALLY important to make sure it's pressed down pretty firmly before you start painting







 9. Aaaaand you're done! I would reccomend making sure it's totally dry before you put laces on!
